Art with an Expert – Comics & Culture: Javier Hernandez’s “El Muerto”

Hear from guest speaker Javier Hernandez, artist, comic book creator, and radio host from Whittier, California. Perhaps best known for creating the popular series El Muerto: The Aztec Zombie, art by Hernandez is currently featured in our Latino art gallery highlight titled There Goes My Hero: Comics and Luchadores. Join Javier for a career spanning retrospective on his time in comics and film. He’ll share his inspirations and influences and what it takes to survive as an independent creator. Selections from El Muerto: The Aztec Zombie series will be available for purchase in the Museum Store. A book signing will follow the talk.
